About this Event
Annette Gagliardi’s fourth poetry collection, Benevolence offers readers a "mouthful of sunlight" and a "beacon of moonbeam"— spaces in which to wrestle with faith, endure the difficulties of living, and feast upon "a truer truth." Benevolence is a poetic documentary. A road map of the loops and turns of belief. It is a still small voice in a noisy world amid “the hazards of living today.” Here there is reiteration of the need for something fundamental. which often gets swept aside or ignored altogether.
Current Poet Laureate for the League of MN Poets, Annette Gagliardi’s poetry is awarded and published in numerous journals in Canada, Sweden, England and the USA. Gagliardi’s chapbook: Caffeinated, won the Literary Titan Gold Book Award for 2024 and an International Impact Award, 2025. She has just won the John C. Rezmerski manuscript award for her book, Benevolence. See her website: https://Annette-gagliardi.com
Mary Jo Robinson-Jamison lives in St. Paul, Minnesota where she and her husband, Kent, raised their two children. For forty years she worked as a music therapist with severely multiply challenged individuals. Her poems have appeared in: Eastern Iowa Review’s Best Prose Poems 2025, Agates 2024, and 2025, Eclectica Magazine, Lake Country Journal, Still Point Arts Quarterly, Driftwood Press, Talking Stick, Church Anew, Talking Writing, and Reverencing the Earth.
