About this Event

-COLORS-

The sense of color is part relying on the environment of outside & part relying on the involvement of inside.

not much about colors can be objective. they are meant to be illusional. they come & go.

their mission is to be a plate of magic; then how can they not be paradoxical?

Colors are always changing. Same tree in the same spot, that green color of before noon is a different color than when you approach it after evening.

& how did we decide to call that “green” anyway? is there any one who sees that as “blue”?

& colors are coming back to the city!

so we do Poetry Night 010 with the theme of COLORS

Join for a night of poetry, translation, reflections, and so more. Bring anything you might like to share; a poem, a song, an image, and a friend too!

Facilitated by Sam Sabzevari, Reza Nik, Amirhesam Monshi, and all Poetry Night Crew

--------------------

Poetry is a plain field of thoughts. It loosens us from the tight knots of daily thinking—those invisible bounds that structure our minds without us knowing. In poetry, abstraction becomes a freedom: a way to shift your focus, to save your energy for wandering through a world that is easier—maybe kinder—to think in.

In that field, one poem may feel like another. You might say, “I’ve read something like this before.” And that’s true—because in this open plain, all poems are, in a way, similar. They’re equal invitations to explore. That’s why it makes perfect sense to bring poetry together across languages, forms, and even into visuals. The field welcomes it all.
