Every Tuesday after 6pm, Bampot becomes a focused sapphic community space. Different events each week invite new connections & creativity!

Scissoring: Craft Swap (April 21st)
Want to get the creative juices flowing? Join Cherry Bomb and @etherialacademicreads for a night of crafting and creativity! This month, we’re doing some spring cleaning: bring whatever craft supplies or projects that you don’t need/aren’t returning to for a craft swap! Find inspiration from the supplies other people bring and start a new project. Or, use the time to work on a personal project!

Supplies for collaging will also be provided.

Open Dyke Night (April 28th)
This Open Dyke Night, we’re doing things a bit differently. We’ll be welcoming Jo Vannicola: an artist, filmmaker, writer and activist, to facilitate a conversation and then we’ll open up the mic for sharing. An evening for queer women, dykes, nonbinary and trans people, to gather in conversation. The night’s schedule will be:

• 6-7:30: Facilitated Conversation with Jo
• 7:30: Break and open mic sign up
• 8:00 - close: Open mic time!

More About the Night:

 In a time when so many of our lives and identities are being debated publicly and politically, this event creates space for something more personal and immediate: people sitting together, speaking honestly, listening to one another, and exploring ideas together. The evening begins with a facilitated circle discussion (approximately 90 minutes) focused on belonging, identity, bodily autonomy, and the challenges and possibilities of the political moment we are living through. Portions of the night will be filmed for Jo’s upcoming documentary. Filming is entirely consent-based, and anyone who prefers not to appear on camera will still be fully included in the circle conversation and open mic. Your privacy will be respected. A consent and release form will be made available on the 21st for those who wish to participate in the documentary.  This is an opportunity to gather in person, build connections, and participate in the ongoing work of community care, storytelling, and collective imagination.

Karaoke Bingo (May 5th)

Do you love karaoke? Do you love to win? This night is for you! Come out and play a game of karaoke bingo. We’ll give everyone the chance to fill out their bingo cards with what songs they expect the sapphics to sing at karaoke. First to bingo gets a prize!
