This is very relaxed reading - come when you can, leave when you must, we understand! Cover poetry, new folx, first time readers encouraged. We know it's called Poetry & Pints, but all genres are welcome: short story, creative nonfiction, music, comedy, etc etc etc.
Burghers offers a wide variety of adult and non-alcohol beverages, as well as having a kitchen menu that includes gluten-free, vegetarian options. The space is mobility device accessible, but not sensory-free. Please patronize the venue as you are able.
The Pittsburgh Poetry Collective welcomes individuals of all intersections including race, age, class, gender identity, and sexual orientation. By attending this event and being in this space you’ve agreed to be welcoming as well! We have spoken with our venues and partner organizations before agreeing to collaborate with them and believe that their goals/ideals align with ours. We build community spaces and relationships.
