About this Event

Join Us for Pittsburgh's Most Meaningful Night Out

When you attend The Big Share presented by Dollar Bank, you're doing more than enjoying an incredible evening—you are helping ensure that thousands of neighbors across our community have access to nutritious food when they need it most.

Over the past year, the CHS Food Pantry provided:

  • 19,515 pantry visits
  • Food assistance to 6,415 individuals
  • Support for 2,896 households

Behind every number is a story: a family stretching every paycheck, a senior living on a fixed income, a veteran rebuilding their life, or a college student choosing between groceries and tuition. Every ticket purchased helps provide nutritious food, fresh produce, pantry staples, and hope to neighbors experiencing food insecurity.

Come experience one unforgettable Pittsburgh evening where incredible food and community come together to make sure our neighbors don't go hungry.

Be A Part of The Impact

Good food has a way of bringing people together. This fall, join Community Human Services (CHS) for The Big Share presented by Dollar Bank, an elevated evening celebrating Pittsburgh's vibrant food scene, local culture, and the power of community, all while helping ensure our neighbors have access to nutritious meals.

Every ticket purchased helps provide nutritious food, fresh produce, pantry staples, and hope to neighbors throughout our community who are experiencing a food crisis.

Set inside the industrial elegance of The Art Room in the Strip District, guests will enjoy culinary stations featuring a Pierogi Bar and Italian Bar, live music by Joel Lindsey, local craft beer and wine, exciting raffle packages, and a lively atmosphere designed for conversation, connection, and celebration.

Experience the Legacy of Phil Pappas

A highlight of this year's event is a gallery-style exhibit of artwork and poetry created by CHS founder Phil Pappas.

Known throughout Pittsburgh for his compassion and commitment to serving others, Phil was also a talented artist whose work reflected the beauty of people, community, and everyday life. Throughout the evening, guests will have the rare opportunity to view a curated collection of his artwork, celebrating the vision of a man whose legacy continues to shape Community Human Services more than half a centry later.

His belief that everyone deserves dignity, hope, and opportunity lives on through the thousands of individuals and families CHS serves each year.
