This event will take place at The King’s Head., Lichfield.The entrance is at the side of the pub and we will be on the ground floor. There is a bar in the room.
There is no admission charge, but we'd be grateful if you would buy raffle tickets please, with a chance to win poetry books. This enables us to give headliners money towards travel expenses.

John Woodall has performed in a variety of venues throughout the midlands to audiences numbering between 2 and 200.
John was the Wolverhampton Literature Festival Poetry Slam Champion in 2022, the Whitchurch Poetry Slam Champion and the Ironbridge Poetry Slam Champion in 2023, and the Cheltenham Poetry Slam Champion in 2024. He has not won slams in many more places.
He came second in the Wolverhampton Literature Festival Poetry Competition 2025 and won the WV postcode prize in 2026.
His poem Making Tea For My Wife While Discussing The Nature Of Love With Whitney Houston was featured on Radio 4’s The Verb broadcast 8th February 2026.
He has two prize winning poems in Ten Poems from Welshpool published by Candlestick Press 2023.
He is the Woodall part of the poetry double act Bingham and Woodall.
John’s poetry pamphlet This Is Just To Say is available from the Offa’s Press shop.
