Poetry 101 Third Edition with SpokenbyT
About this Event
POETRY 101, 3rd edition: Taught by someone who is still learning | We’re back for the summer! Join a community of like minded, emotionally creative thinkers and feelers for an evening of self-discovery through the art of poetry and creative writing.
Back by popular demand, this workshop will cover the basics of poetry & creative writing and how it can be used as a resource to understand our feelings, emotions, and everything in between. With no prior poetry or writing experience required, you're formally invited to engage in thought-provoking discussions about identity, memories and life experiences, and weaving them into the craft of poetry & creative writing with the help of innovative prompts and empathetic conversation. This intentional, safe space will leave you feeling emotionally charged and inspired to engage in the world of writing as a resource to understand yourself and the crazy world we're living in.
Curated and hosted by spokenbyt in the beautiful space of Another Story Bookshop, this workshop will run from 7pm - 9:30pm with opportunities to network, share your work in an open-mic style format, independently write, and snack on some light refreshments and sweet treats provided by local business, Something Sweet by Anna.
Note: if you have any allergies and/or food restrictions that we should be aware of, please contact T directly at [email protected]
