About this Event
Poetic Pause: Hush Harbor
A Two-Hour Contemplative Rest Experience
In a world full of chaos and uncertainty, sometimes the only thing we can do is pause.
Wouldn’t it be nice to pause together rather than alone?
Poetic Pause: Hush Harbor is a guided rest installation where silence, African American sacred music, and live poetry create space for you to slow down and return to yourself.
Inspired by the hush harbors — quiet gatherings where communities once met to sing, reflect, and sustain one another — this experience invites you into shared stillness.
What to Bring
• A yoga mat or blanket
• A journal
• Anything that helps you feel comfortable
What You’ll Leave With
• A steadier nervous system
• A moment of clarity
• Space to reflect without pressure
• A sense of shared presence
Over two hours, you will move through gentle sequences of silence, song, poetry, and reflection. You may recline, journal, close your eyes, or simply listen.
Nothing more. Nothing less. Just a pause.
