About this Event
FREE CPR & Defibrillator Awareness Training Event
Hosted by Plymouth International Rotary in partnership with Jay’s Aim Charity
Plymouth International Rotary is a community focused Rotary club dedicated to making a positive difference both locally and internationally through service, leadership and community engagement. As part of the global Rotary family, we bring together people from all backgrounds who share a passion for helping others, supporting local initiatives and creating lasting change within our communities.
We are delighted to announce our first community event in partnership with Jay’s Aim, a South West charity committed to reducing the rate of sudden cardiac death among young people through education, awareness, CPR training, defibrillator provision and cardiac screening support. Since 2018, Jay’s Aim has trained thousands of people in life saving CPR and AED (defibrillator) skills and has helped fund hundreds of defibrillators across the region. (Jay’s Aim)
This FREE CPR and Defibrillator Awareness Training session is open to younger adults and members of the public who would like to gain the confidence and knowledge needed to respond in a cardiac emergency. The training is practical, engaging, and suitable for people with no previous experience.
By attending, you will learn:
• How to recognise a cardiac arrest
• How to perform effective CPR
• How to safely use a public access defibrillator (AED)
• How quick action can help save lives
Together, Plymouth International Rotary and Jay’s Aim are committed to improving community resilience and equipping more people with the skills needed to act when every second counts.
Join us and learn a skill that could one day save a life.
