Plus One is a high-end singles mixer with one simple requirement: every guest brings a single friend of the opposite sex. A balanced, curated room of interesting, eligible people who were personally vouched for before they walked in.
Hosted by Sophie Kaemmerle, New York Magazine-featured NYC matchmaker and founder of Toi & Moi Matchmaking, Plus One is designed the way good introductions actually work: with structure, care, and the right people in the room.
How it works:
You and your friend arrive together for a structured but relaxed speed-mingling format.This means you'll have genuine one-on-one time with the people in the room without the pressure of a timer forcing you to move on. Your conversation starter is already on your name tag. And at the end of the night, you'll fill out a simple card: mark anyone you'd like to see again, and whether you're interested in dating or friendship. Sophie reviews the cards and makes personal introductions where there's mutual interest — no awkward "did they like me?" guessing games.
What to expect: An intimate gallery space in New York City. Equal numbers of men and women. Lightly structured one-on-one conversation time. A name tag prompt that actually starts good conversations. Complimentary wine. A curated goodie bag. And a matchmaker in the room making introductions and keeping the evening moving.
