PLR Vancouver Presents: Running Bodies III

We continue to take a critical look at the Politics of Running, Sex and Gender to show that restrictive gender regulation policies in sport are not just about sports—they are about power, control, and the policing of all bodies.

Discussion: This month we explore how these restrictions, situated within a broader context of gendered and racist systems perpetuate harm and inequalities, shaping how women relate to each other and their bodies.

Our intention: to remind folks to reach beyond patriarchal and white supremacists standards and assumptions of bodies so we may begin to discuss the real issues plaguing womens sports.

Join us as we dive deeper and explore.

Walk/Run: Join PLR Founder Filsan for a 2km and 4km run/walk, followed with brunch. Route TBC.

PLEASE NOTE: We will be taking photos/videos of this event so we can provide more information online to women who want to know more about PLR runs-to-brunch, by purchasing a ticket you are consenting to having your images captured. Of course, if you do not want to be in any photos/video, please let us know, we respect your choice.
