Playwright's Lab: 3-month workshop by Shafaat Khan

From idea to stage-ready script!  

Playwright’s Lab is a three-month intensive certification workshop for playwrights looking to deepen their craft for the stage. Across 24 full-day sessions, participants will explore the core elements of dramatic writing, including idea development, structure, character, and dialogue, through a practice-led approach.  

Combining discussions, writing exercises, script readings, and collaborative critique, the workshop offers a supportive space to develop and refine original work. By the end of the program, participants will have developed a polished draft of a short play or a strong foundation for a longer work.   

Led by Shafaat Khan, renowned for his sharp blend of satire, humour, and socio-political insight, this workshop is ideal for theatre practitioners committed to writing, revising, and sharing their work throughout the program.
