About this Event

Welcome to Playology! A one of a kind conference that immerses participants in a meaninful, relevant, and fun day of playful study to examine the physical, mental, social, emotional, and life changing benefits of the power of living and learning through play.

The neuroscience of play is incredibly powerful and the research shows that what is often viewed as "just an early childhood need" isn't solely for the youngest humans, but for ALL of us.

Does your workplace need to be more fun? Yes. Does your classroom? Yes. Does your home, communte, dinner parties, volunteer meetings, and daily life? YES!

Come join award winning Educator, Author, Illustrator and Playologist Jed Dearybury for a day of professional learning like no other! All participants will engage in interactive playful expereinces throughout the event that can be implemented the next day regardless of where your path leads.

Both days will begin promptly at 9am at the beautiful Spartanburg Art Museum in Downtown Spartanburg. Come dressed in clothes that make you happy and allow you to move freely among your peers. Lunch, as well as a special wine social at the conclusion of the event, is included in the price of every ticket. There are several other options available so choose the package that best suits your needs.

Day 1 is specifically designed for those in the business/working community. The focus will be best playful practices for your staff, clients, customers, and general daily life. A copy of The Playful Life is not required, but recommended for the day. Only 75 spots available. Participants should be 18 years of age or older.

Day 2 is specifically designed for those in the education community and parents who want their classrooms and homes to be more play learning focused. And, of course there is a self component as well. A copy of The Playful Classroom is not required, but recommended for the day. Only 75 spots available. Participants should be 18 years of age or older.
