Playing with plants: a kids workshop
About this Event
Guided by Gardening the City facilitator Dorestie Liew (Āiotanga Trust), participating tamariki will learn about the properties of different plant life across this urban garden, and experiment with different forms of artmaking to create thoughtful impressions of their local environment.
Meet at Gus Fisher Gallery for an introduction, after which the group will walk together to the nearby Emily Place Reserve. Following the workshop, join the local community picnic in the park, where you can bring your own kai or enjoy the provided refreshments.

This is a weather-dependent event, suitable for ages 5-12 with parental supervision required. All materials are provided.
