FREE SKATEBOARDING LESSONS - Victoria Park Skatepark

We are back at Victoria Park Skatepark running free lessons on Sunday mornings from 9.30-11am thanks to Sport Auckland. Classes are open to all ages and abilities, from beginners up into the more advanced skaters!
Skateboards and helmets are available to hire for free. Just bring yourself, some closed shoes and a drink bottle!
Whether you've never stepped foot on a skateboard before, or have already nailed down some more advanced tricks, Girls Skate NZ aims to provide a safe, warm, inclusive and supportive environment for girls to skate in! Skaters are put into small groups of 2-5 based on their age and skill level and placed with a female coach before working on a variety of skills, tricks and fun games. Classes are structured to motivate safe progression at a pace that suits the individual skater attending, whilst fostering community and connection amongst participants.
All ages are welcomed and encouraged to join, however if we have any little skaters (4 and under) we ask for parents to join in with our groups to help guide their little ones (as we have noticed our smaller skaters require that little bit more hands on help).
WEATHER - If it is raining, or the ground is very wet, we are unfortunately unable to run the lessson due to health and safety. If we are needing to cancel a class, we will email all participants who have booked, and post a story on our instagram and facebook. If your class is canceled, please rebook for the following week - if that session is fully booked, please email us [email protected] if you wish to attend the following week instead.
