Platinum Disco at The Athens Armory (A Retro Dance Party Fundraiser)

After a year of throwing fun early dance party fundraisers in 2025 that started at 7 and ended at 10:00 at the West End CiderHouse, DJ B-Funk and the Golden Hour have decided to take things to the next LEVEL!

Introducing for the first time, PLATINUM DISCO at the Athens Armory!

Saturday, March 28th we transform the newly renovated Armory into a young professionals dance party dream!

Music Starts at 7:00 pm (You can be in bed by 10:00 pm if you choose!)

Music will span all the hits from the 70's, 80's, and DEFINITELY 90's! Dress as your favorite decade and come ready to dance!

You've still got it! You're not too old! You just needed a reason to come dance with your peers who also remember New Edition, Footloose, and when gasoline was under a $1.00 a gallon!

And if that's not enough, the proceeds from the Platinum Disco will benefit the Heroes in Color Movie Series at the Athena Cinema that takes place every friday in February. This movie series is in its third year and at its heart lies a commitment to celebrate voices and stories of people of color that have traditionally been marginalized within popular culture. We will have a photo booth, a bar with beer, wine, and cider options and specially themed cocktails for the evening plus NA options as well, Dr Mai's and Rhythm and Food food trucks will also be on site for anyone looking to fill their belly before they boogie!

Music Will be provided by DJ B-Funk with full lights and production to take you back in time!

This is a full experience that we want to share with you! We also have limited parking that can be purchased seperately along with limited tables available for anyone who wants to bring their entire squad.

Heroes in Color is a film series DJ B-Funk Co-Produces with his Friend Gordon and the Athena Cinema. We have raised over $2300 so far with these dance parties for the series! Let's see what we can with 250 of you together at once!
