Around the world, people are finding new ways to reduce waste, rethink consumption and build stronger communities. This special Plastic Free July film night brings some of those stories to Wānaka.
Join Wastebusters for an evening of nine short films from Happen Films and The Story of Stuff Project, exploring everything from living with less waste and sharing resources, through to who should be responsible for the packaging and products we throw away.
These inspiring films showcase real people, communities and ideas that are helping create a less wasteful future, while asking important questions about how change happens.
Throughout the evening we'll pause for two panel discussions, giving attendees the opportunity to unpack the ideas raised in the films and discuss what they could mean for Aotearoa.
Guest speakers
Sue Coutts
Director of External Affairs, Zero Waste Aotearoa. Sue works to increase awareness, engagement and support for community-led zero waste initiatives and policies across Aotearoa.
