Join us for our second community night of the season, led by IFMGA mountain guide Tom Willmott and SARDA NZ.
As NZ's first NZMGA qualified splitboard guide Tom will share firsthand experience of staying safe in avalanche terrain while riding and guiding around the world, from the US to Europe, to India and Alaska, introducing key concepts like safe travel techniques and essential gear, pointing you toward public avalanche tools, and outlining the courses on offer to help you learn and stay safe in the backcountry.
SARDA NZ also joins us to speak about their mission and work.
Whether you're new to the backcountry or just want to brush up on your avalanche knowledge, this is a great eye-opener and a chance to connect with your community, sharpen your awareness, and learn from real-world experience!
Entry is free, but a donation to SARDA is encouraged. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase on the evening with prizes from The North Face, Icebreaker, BCA and b.effect brewing co. All proceeds to benefit SARDA.
$1 from every brewery purchase made between 7–9pm on the evening will be donated to SARDA!
