Planting at Golden Empire Elementary School
About this Event
Spend your morning with Sac Tree getting your hands dirty, increasing our region's urban tree canopy, and making the school grounds greener and shadier for students. Volunteers will be digging into the soil, learning to free tree roots from their pots, planting trees, mulching, and watering 15-gallon trees.
Sac Tree staff will provide all the necessary tools and supplies, and participants will receive a short training upon arrival. After reviewing safety, participants will work alongside Sac Tree staff, who will verify community service hours for volunteers who are registered on Eventbrite and checked-in.
Support for this event is provided through our partnership with the Sacramento Municipal Utility District. We are proud to partner with Sacramento City Unified School District to bring more trees to this campus.
