Plant Swap at Hicks Nurseries 2025

Hicks Nurseries, Long Island's largest and premier garden center, will hold its next Houseplant Swap on Saturday, January 18th at the nursery in Westbury. Plant swaps are events where plant enthusiasts meet in person to trade plants or cuttings and are more common in New York City or urban areas.

Participants of the plant swap are encouraged to bring up to five indoor plants to trade or give away. Set up will begin promptly at 10:30am; trading will be held from 11:00am – 12:00pm.

Admission to the event is free but registration is required. Attendees will receive a coupon to use on any houseplant purchase made at the nursery the day of the event. The greenhouse at Hicks Nurseries boasts a tremendous selection of top quality indoor plants, including many hard to find varieties.
