About this Event
Plant Identification Walk & Medicine Making Ceremony: Crafting Herbal Liniments
Join us for a morning immersed in the healing power of plants as we embark on a plant identification walk, followed by a hands-on medicine-making ceremony.
Together, we’ll connect with the natural world, learn about the healing properties of 5-7 local plants, and then focus on crafting your own herbal liniment using one of these plants.
We will start with an informative and leisurely plant walk, where we’ll explore the wild flora around us, learning how to identify plants, their medicinal uses, and the ways in which they support our well-being. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how to sustainably harvest and work with plants in your own life.
After the walk, we’ll gather for a guided medicine-making ceremony, where we will focus on one plant to create a potent herbal liniment. This hands-on experience will provide you with practical skills in herbal preparation and teach you how to make your own remedies at home.
Whether you’re a seasoned herbalist or new to the plant world, this workshop will empower you to connect with nature’s medicine and bring healing into your everyday life.
