About the Instructor

Debra Cosbey, originally from Indiana, is a lifelong gardener with a Master’s in Special Education. After retiring to Summerville, SC, in 2015, she became a Clemson Master Gardener (2017) and now serves as President of the Camellia Garden Club of Greater Charleston. A lifetime member of the Garden Club of South Carolina and the National Garden Club, she has earned recognition from the National Wildlife Association. Debra volunteers as a docent for Magnolia Plantation and the Historic Charleston Foundation and is a member of the Charleston Horticulture Association, continuing to share her passion for gardening and conservation across the Lowcountry.
