Undercurrents is Pippa's second solo album and offers an enchanting hour of ambient, neo-classical harp music exploring themes of hope, resilience, and recovery. Performed on both pedal harp and Scottish lever harp, it features music from the new album including a powerful new suite which has been written from a residency she took part in, saliing aboard the 75 foot gaff rig 'The Excelsior LT472' from Orkney to the Faroe Islands. The program also weaves in captivating arrangements of Philip Glass, Ludovico Einaudi and Erland Cooper among others with the harp’s ethereal sound.
At its heart, this recital is a personal story of healing after a wrist injury. Told through delicate melodies, rich harmonies, and moments of both intimacy and intensity.It’s a performance designed to move audiences with its emotional depth, storytelling, and breathtaking sound world.
