About this Event

The Tessera Quartet presents a profound exploration of the turmoils and struggles of Beethoven through his String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, alongside Shostakovich’s haunting String Quartet No. 15 in E-flat minor, composed on his deathbed. The program also features Dinuk Wjeratne’s evocative tone poem, 'The Disappearance of Lisa Gheridini', which narrates the dramatic heist of the Mona Lisa.

Performers: Violins: Glen Mouat & Filip Matasaru; Viola: Suzanne Godet; Cello: Lucy Pye.
