Its time for the adults to play. Tired of your scout taking all the credit for your derby car? Now is your chance for glory!Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at the Montgomery Memorial Post 7452 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Check in starts at 5:00pm and the races begin at 6:00pm.
Pinewood Derbies have long been a staple tradition for Cub Scouts, and now we open the tradition for all interested persons 21-years-old and over. This fun and special event is a fundraiser that will benefit your local Boy Scouts of America Scouting youth.
We are racing 5oz pinewood derby cars just like the kids do but at Montgomery Memorial Post 7452 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars... with beers! Trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place, and an award will go out for the Most Creative as well, by fan vote!
Tickets are $25 for an Individual Racer (Bronze), $100 for a Business Class Car (Silver), $250 for a Derby Sponsor Class Racer (Gold), Includes your Name or Company Logo on a custom banner showcased on our website as well as at the Derby, Spectator only tickets are $5.00.

Pinewood Car Regulations
* Width – not to exceed 2 3/4 inches.
* Length – not to exceed 7 inches.
* Height – Must have clearance under finishing gate – not to exceed 6 inches.
* Weight – not to exceed 5 ounces measured on race scale.
* Car Design – Stable materials may be added. Unstable or loose materials may not be used.
* Clearance - A minimum 3/8 inch clearance is required under the car to avoid rubbing the track.
* Starting Devices - The car must be free-wheeling and not have any starting devices.
* No part of the car may extend beyond the starting peg on the track.
* No propellants or liquid weight allowed.
* Only powder lubricants allowed (graphite).
* Cars must pass a pre-race inspection to ensure they meet all rules.
* Adjustments can be made at check-in, but no changes are allowed after final inspection.
