Pine Needle Basket Weaving Class
Discover the traditional art of pine needle basket weaving in this relaxing, hands-on class with Divine Classes and instructor Alisha Hibbard.
Students will arrive with the beginning of their basket prepared and ready to build. Using Ponderosa pine needles and sinew, you will learn the basic coiling techniques needed to create a small handmade basket. Alisha will guide you step by step as you learn how to shape your basket, add new pine needles, keep your stitching even, and build a strong foundation for future projects.
All materials are provided during class, and each student will receive a kit to take home so they can continue practicing and working on their basket between sessions. Students are encouraged to return for each class to continue building their basket, strengthen their skills, and learn additional techniques.
No previous basket-weaving experience is needed. This class is designed for beginners and anyone who enjoys working with natural materials, learning traditional crafts, and creating something beautiful by hand.
