Pine Lily Eco-buggy Tour: Afternoon

Join environmental specialist, Tommy Nordmann, on the Explore Volusia eco-buggy, discover the pine flatwoods and cypress swamps of Longleaf Pine Preserve, and help staff locate the native pine lily flower. Participants will learn how Volusia County Land Management maintains these important ecosystems for these and other native plants and animals.

ACTIVITY: The tour will take place on a hay-ride style, covered trailer with benches. There will be some easy, short walks as well.

RESERVATIONS: Required. Unless you have a confirmation email, you are not registered.

TICKETS: No printed ticket is necessary.

AGES: All ages are welcome.

ATTIRE: closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for the outdoors

** Some of our trails have mud and/or standing water because they are located in wetland ecosystems and because of seasonal rains and high tides. We recommend you bring a pair of waterproof boots in addition to your regular hiking shoes if you don't want your shoes to get wet. Our leader will let you know the condition of the trails prior to the start of the tour.

WHAT TO BRING: water, sunscreen, and bug spray

FACILITIES: There is a port-a-let but no running water on site.
