About this Event

Anglers for Conservation is a 501 c(3) non-profit whose mission is to inspire new generations of marine stewards through education, conservation, and fishing.
Hook Kids on Fishing (HKOF) is for kids between ages 5-15 and taught by professional guides, knowledgeable anglers and scientists. This hands-on, conservation-minded and educational fishing program teaches families casting, knot tying, fishing safety, catch and release, fish habitats, conservation and more!
This special Halloween-themed event will feature costumes, fishing, and a fun exploration of some of Florida's most fascinating "spooky" underwater creatures. From mysterious stingrays and sharks to strange-looking fish and other lagoon residents, participants will discover that these animals are more fascinating than frightening while learning about their important roles in our coastal ecosystems.

What to expect:

• Interactive fishing lessons for kids such as learning proper casting techniques and how to tie knots.
• Hands-on demonstrations of sustainable fishing practices like how to handle fish and catch and release practices.
• Engaging talks on coastal conservation
• Halloween-themed games, activities, and costumes. Costumes are encouraged for both kids and adults!

Registration fee is $5.00 per family, and will be available on Eventbrite to reserve your spot at this not-to-be-missed event! All children must be accompanied by an adult, spaces are limited, so act swiftly to secure your place in the angling adventure of a lifetime.

Fishing Rod/ Reel & Tackle Box are limited to 1 per angler per year to ensure each angler has available gear to continue on their fishing journey after the HKF event.
