Pie Dough 101 Essentials with Methia Gordon
Master tender, flaky pie dough in this hands-on beginner class, just in time for holiday baking.
In a relaxed, supportive setting, our Kitchen Director Methia Gordon will guide you through making all-butter pie dough entirely by hand. You'll learn how to:
• Apply professional tips and techniques for reliable results
• Handle pie dough with confidence and avoid common pitfalls
• Keep ingredients, dough and yourself at the right temperature
• Build a stress-free process you can repeat at home
In class, each student will:
1. Make a batch of all-butter pie dough to take home for future baking
2. Roll out and assemble a 7" apple pie to take home and bake
3. Wrap up with Q&A over a slice of apple pie
You'll take home recipes, pie dough to practice with, and your 7" apple pie ready for the oven.
What to wear: your favorite apron, comfortable closed-toe shoes, and long hair tied back.
