🎉 Picnic in the Readhead Park 2026 🎉
Join us for our annual FREE community picnic in the Readhead Park on Saturday 22nd August 2026, 12pm – 4pm! 🌳🧺
Bring your own picnic blanket and join friends, family and neighbours for a fantastic afternoon of community spirit, great food, live music and fun for all ages.
What’s on?
• Live music & performances throughout the afternoon, featuring local singers Tipps & Lucy Shaw
• Lots of trading stalls & tombolas
• Kids games & family activities
• The Little Hut in the Park – refreshments & snacks for sale
• Artwork by Sheila Graber and Jen’s knits & crafts
• Try your hand at Bowls with the Bowls Club (£1, all equipment provided)
All proceeds from the day will go towards improving our beautiful Readhead Park and its facilities.
Support local businesses ✅
Raise money for various charities ✅
Additional parking available at South Tyneside College (Grosvenor Road entrance) only during the event.
