Pickling & Canning: A hands-on workshop
About this Event
Come join us in-person at Little Platte Catholic Worker Farm in Platteville for a fun and informative workshop on how to pickle vegetables. Lyric and Allyson will guide you through the process step by step, so you can confidently preserve your own pickles at home. We'll be using fresh, seasonal veggies grown right here on the farm, and you'll leave with your own cans to take home. Our exact project(s) will be determined closer to the workshop date when we have a better idea of what will be in season, but may include classic cucumber pickles, dilly beans, zucchini relish, or pickled beets!
Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
This class is great for beginners, or experienced canners looking to expand your knowledge and skills!
The class takes place at our 35-acre community farm outside of Platteville, WI, where you can meet an aray of farm critters and explore our small-scale vegetable farm.
