Photowalk: Layering in Street Photography with Jarrett Esaw and Fujifilm
About this Event
NOTE: There is a $25 charge to register for the event.
----------------------------------------------------------
Join Jarrett Esaw and Fujifilm for a guided street photography walk focused on creating stronger images through layering, depth, and visual storytelling.
Throughout the walk, Jarrett will explore how foreground, mid-ground, and background elements can work together to create more dynamic compositions. Participants will experiment with people, reflections, passing vehicles, architecture, foliage, light, shadow, color, and depth of field to guide the viewer’s eye through each frame.
We’ll meet at the Adorama Store at 2:30 PM before walking downtown toward Washington Square Park. The round-trip route will take us through a variety of environments, providing plenty of opportunities to observe everyday scenes and transform them into layered, visually compelling photographs.
Come ready to slow down, pay attention, and experiment with composition. Whether you’re new to street photography or looking to sharpen your creative eye, Jarrett will help challenge you to see familiar surroundings in new ways and create images with greater depth and impact.
Fujifilm Loaner Gear
Fujifilm cameras and lenses will be available to borrow during the photo walk. Participants who would like to borrow gear must bring:
- A valid U.S. government-issued ID
- A valid credit card
All IDs and credit cards will be stored securely under the constant supervision of an Adorama employee and returned once the borrowed gear has been checked back in.
