Photon - Live Music

Photon is an original progressive jazz-fusion, jamtronica, and electronic dance band based out of Denver. They blend live instrumental improvisation, synth-heavy funk, and progressive rock. This is their Salida debut and we can’t wait to see them rock our taproom. The band is made up of some heavy hitters in the Denver music scene, including keyboardist Jimmy Dunstan (YAMN, DAMN RIGHT, Spontaneous Underground), versatile guitarist, composer, producer and educator Tim Wendel, bassist Dan Africano (Thievery Corporation, Ghost Light, John Brown's Body) and drummer Neal Evans (Dopapod, Elephant Wrecking Ball). Blending sounds reminiscent of The New Deal, Medeski Martin and Wood, and Tycho, Photon will take you on a contemplative dance journey. Be ready for a night of infectious house beats and virtuosic instrumental story-telling.
