Are you interested in taking better photos in the moment? Ever go on vacation with family and want to ensure your photos capture what you felt and what you saw? Have you seen creative photos and wish your scrapbooks were filled with them? This session might be for you!Back in April, photographer Don Alley ran a "Photography for Life's Memories" session. Our walk-about sessioin continues that course with hands-on practice. We will meet at the Scrappy Diva retreat area and do a refresh on different photo composition techniques from the presentation, then we will hit the Red Mill area to put the techniques into practice. (If you missed the first presentation, you can still join this one!) Afterwards, if you're so inclined, we will look at each other's work for constructive critique.
Required: Your camera phone, your digital camera, if you have it, and dress for the expected weather. There will be up to a mile of walking required. You might be the subject of your classmates' photos as we team up to practice.
Donald Alley is a southeast Michigan based photographer with 30+ years experience in photojournalism, sports and event work. He has held chief photographer positions for 2 magazines, as well as work as a photojournalist for regional newspapers. As a father for 17 years, he knows the importance that photography holds in capturing life's fleeting moments.
