VFW 4090, Auxiliary, and American Legion 129 will be holding a remembrance ceremony for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation over the past 250 years. The ceremony opens on Veterans Memorial Bridge in downtown Portland and proceeds up Bridge Street to the Portland Cemetery. The main ceremony will be held at the base of the Grand Army of the Republic monument.
Prior to the ceremony, VFW 4090 will be hosting a free breakfast for veterans. At the conclusion of the ceremony VFW 4090, along with the Portland United Methodist Church, will be hosting an open house and BBQ chicken meal. Public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
