Join us for an evening of photographic conversation, featuring a Photo Talk from visual artist Olufemi Olaiya, alongside two short talks from local photographers and artists as part of our Turning the Tide programme.
Olufemi Olaiya is a self-taught visual artist specialising in portrait, fashion and architectural photography. His practice explores storytelling, historical context and the connections between people and generations.
Through his photography, Olufemi aims to capture the essence of his subjects and create space for conversations around identity, history, humanity and shared experience. In this Photo Talk, he will share more about his practice, influences and approach to photography.
The evening will also introduce Turning the Tide, a new series of short talks offering an open platform for photographic conversation. Two local artists and photographers will each have ten minutes to share their practice, a project, or an idea they are exploring.
Whether you're a photographer, artist, student, enthusiast or simply interested in photography, join us for an evening of sharing ideas, perspectives and conversation around photographic practice.
Tickets
Tickets are pay what you can, with options of £1, £3, and £5.
All donations go towards supporting Pompey Darkroom, a Community Interest Company (CIC), and our programme of accessible photography workshops, events and community activity.
