PHASES;BETWEEN MEMORY AND BECOMING
About this Event
Phases: Between Memory and Becoming
A Group Exhibition | Caezar × Adetona Omokanye × Nashid Chroma
The exhibition explores the spaces between who we have been and who we are still becoming. Through works that engage with personal archives, cultural histories, family narratives, migration, and material memory, the exhibition considers how identity is carried across generations and reshaped over time.
The works gathered here reflect on acts of remembering and reconstruction.Photographs become vessels of remembrance. Fabric carries traces of place and ancestry. Portraiture, sculpture, and image-making become methods of preserving, questioning, and reimagining the self.
Together, the exhibition invites viewers to consider how memory continues to shape the present and how the stories we inherit influence the futures we create.
Rather than presenting identity as a finished state, Phases embraces it as a process one marked by transformation, uncertainty, growth, and possibility. In the space between memory and becoming, the exhibition asks what we choose to carry forward, what we leave behind, and who we become in the process.
Join us for the opening reception and experience works that remember, reconstruct, and reimagine the self.
