We have an awesome evening of Singer/Songwriters all performing at the Linsmore Tavern (1298 Danforth Ave) for the very first time on Thursday July 16th! This showcase, brings together 4 artists featuring Daisy Wine, Megan Elliot, Haley Midgette, and Mike Z! This is going to be a lot of fun and an evening that music fans will really appreciate! The show starts at 7:30pm, PWYC!
Daisy Wine is the solo project of singer songwriter Fleur Dosnon. Mixing old-timey blues with 90’s alternative rock, occasionally throwing in a couple of gypsy jazz chords because why not? It’s all about blurring the lines between music genres to try and push the limits of how much emotion a guitar and a voice can convey.
Megan Elliot is a singer, songwriter, and lyricist whose music blends pop, folk, and rock into a sound that’s both timeless and fresh. With heartfelt lyrics, vivid imagery, and intoxicating melodies, her songs feel like pages torn from a diary – intimate, raw, and honest. Influenced by the grit of ’90s rock and the spirit of today’s indie scene, Megan crafts cinematic stories through layered arrangements and emotional depth.
Haley Midgette is a multifaceted, Toronto-based artist who weaves together her talents as an actor and singer-songwriter to meaningfully connect with audiences. In her music, she combines the timeless charm of folk with contemporary nuances to create an inviting backdrop for wistful musings and honest storytelling.
Mike Z (@firesideghosts) writes and performs unique acoustic sets fusing ’80s new wave nostalgia and ’90s indie energy. He calls it Acoustic Post-Wave. A seasoned performer with deep Toronto roots, Mike brings an emotional and introspective energy to every stage, reimagining classics and sharing original songs that explore roads not taken, moments missed, and connections overlooked.
To celebrate Daisy’s birthday, the four of them will exceptionally perform on stage together, being each other’s backing band.
