About this Event
Overview
This is a two hour long, online review session for the FDACS General Standards CORE pesticide licensing exam. Continuing education units (CEUs) are also available for attendance for individuals that already have obtained their pesticide applicator license. The cost for attendance is $15.
This event will be held online via Zoom*. Please be prepared to arrive at least 15 minutes early to the class. The zoom link will be sent to the email used in the event registration prior to the class. Registration for this class will close on December 12th at 11:59PM.
Exams and Study Material
This course will review the basics of pesticides including important laws, how to read a pesticide label, different pesticide formulations, integrated pest management and more! The study materials for the CORE exam can be purchased below from the IFAS Bookstore: Applying Pesticides Correctly (CORE) (SM1).
This webinar does not include the exam. To take your pesticide exams, you must sign up for an appointment to take the exam at your local county extension office. You can register for your exams and pick an exam time here: https://pesticideexam.ifas.ufl.edu/.
CEUs
If you already hold a pesticide license, you can attend this class to receive 2 CEU credits in either the 487 GENERAL STANDARDS/CORE or 482 GENERAL STANDARDS/CORE categories.
To receive CEU credit, you must attend the full duration of the class. Attendance and participation will be verified. For CEU credit, each person needs to attend using their own electronic device. If you have already taken a previous offering of this class (FDACS Program: 38185) on a different date and been awarded the CEUs in the last year, you cannot retake it for additional CEU credit.
