Perton Library is celebrating the Staffordshire History Festival with a fantastic family friendly open day on Saturday 4th October from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
As well as looking at what Staffordshire Libraries have to offer for those interested in local and family history there are lots of other exhibitors and plenty of drop-in activities, chances to get ‘hands on with history’ and fun for families and children.
• • Age of Penda – Saxon re-enactment group. Explore their encampment and staged battles throughout the day
• Get Hands on History with Ancient Egyptians re-enactor Liz Scott – Lots of great exhibits and activities for the children
• Join Captain Sean, from Titanic Honour and Glory Ltd., as he presents a series of amazing fun filled active learning workshops bringing history to life for children and adults.
• Meet former Poet Laureate for Staffordshire Bert Flitcroft
• Staffordshire Archives and Heritage Service
