Throughout the day Wolverhampton glass artist Suzie from Suzie Lavender Contemporary Glass will be teaching two sessions of fused glass making techniques. You are welcome to attend either the morning or afternoon workshop or you can attend both sessions for the day at a discounted price. These workshops are suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.
Your workshops ticket also grants you full access to the Manor, Gardens, Shop, Gallery and Cafe!
The schedule for the day is as follows:
Morning Session 10:30am-12:30pm: Glass Jewellery Techniques Workshop - Each participant will be able to create several jewellery items using different techniques and accessories. You will learn about and try out different techniques including glass decals and will discover how simple jewellery featuring fused glass can be created. Your pieces will make fantastic wearable gifts or you can just keep them for yourself!
You can also try out some basic glass cutting skills to create your pieces.
Lunch (not provided) 12:30-1:30pm. Wightwick Manor has a cafe on site and many areas for enjoying your lunch in the fresh air if the weather suits.
Afternoon Session 1:30pm-3:30pm: Festive Glass Decorations - In this 2 hour workshop you will learn some basic glass fusing and layering techniques with coloured glass. Participants will be introduced a selection of materials and tools. Each participant will be able to choose from a selection of coloured glass, paints & accessories to create their designs to a colour scheme of their choice. All participants will be make a selection of 5 Christmas decorations.
Participants who are regular attendees of Suzie’s workshops are welcome to make different projects to save repetition if they contact Suzie in advance.
All creations will be kiln fired by Suzie following the sessions and then collection from Wightwick Manor (or postage of the work can be organised) from 14days later.
Places are limited and expected to book up very quickly. Suitable for adults and for teens age 13 and over, under 16's must be accompanied by a participating adult.

Please note that access can be limited/difficult persons of disability due to the room’s location on the first floor. There is no lift and the room is not wheelchair accessible. Other venues where Suzie also holds workshops do have disabled access however, please contact Suzie for more information.
