🔗 Påmeldingsskjema: https://forms.gle/6u59NGXavLgS8DVp6 (Free event, just need to sign up) NLA OA hosts an evening event dedicated to the timeless beauty of East Asian gardens and their impact on modern landscape design. We’ll delve into cultural and philosophical aspects as well as aesthetics and contemporary practice. There’ll also be a short mindful Tea drinking practice to get into the right headspace. The event has both English and Norwegian speakers.
We are lucky to have the following speakers, who will guide us through a self-chosen topic related to the theme of “Perspectives From The East”:
🔹Lei Gao (English): Lei is an associate professor at NMBU, and will show us a few traditional gardens in China and Japan, highlighting their relevance to landscape architecture today. In an era of environmental crisis, what lessons can we draw from the ancient East?
🔹 Akie Kono (English): Akie works as a landscape architect at Grindaker. She’s from Japan, and has a background in photography. We are lucky that she will share a story about the vast and poetic impact of the Genbei river, which originates from Mt Fuji.
It will be an insightful and mindful event as we are welcomed to visit the office of Grindaker. See you there! 💚
