While donations of basic care items are pouring in for the victims of the Eaton Fires in Altadena, many of the donated items do not meet the unique needs for textured hair and deeper skin tones that many residents of the hardest hit neighborhoods share. On the road the recovery, looking and feeling their best can make a world of difference for those navigating this tragic loss. Your donations of hair, bath + body, and beauty products can help families who’ve suffered the loss of their neighborhoods, their homes, and their personal belongings to feel a sense of relief and normalcy during this devastating time.
Please bring full- and trial-sized unopened containers of shampoo, conditioner, styling gel, body wash, soap, lotion, body oil, makeup, etc. to St. Martin de Porres Parish and Them People Productions (TPP), Our Voice Nuestra Voz (OVNV), and the Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) will ship your donations to Black Men Build in Los Angeles for on-the-ground distribution.
Cash and gift card donations will also be accepted for recipients to select and purchase their own products.
