Ladies and gentlemen, we wanted to announce an upcoming event on our calendar for the entire week spanning August 10 - 16.
Come on out any day this week and plan to spend an overnight or two. This entire week will be the peak week for the annual Perseid meteor shower, and we have the best viewing in the area!
We have a huge 5 acre field with zero artificial lighting to wash out the "meteors" as the zip through the sky. It will be a fun-filled week full of star-gazing, as we search the heavens for the meaning of life. And if we don't find that elusive meaning for life, we can at least look for planets, constellations, shooting stars and maybe a spinning galaxy or two.
So bring your telescopes and binocs and we'll just make an annual weekly event out of it all and see what happens. Bring an RV or a tent and plan to stay all night. We'll pray for good weather, but we'll plan for it all week long regardless of what weather we get.
Make your overnight reservations on our website, misthavenresort.com. You can bring RV's or tent (or rent one of rental units), but if you plan to chill under the stars in our wide open field, we will only be able to accommodate tents (all RV's must be on an actual camp site).
