About this Event

Perinatal mental health and maternal medicine are deeply interconnected — yet too often taught and experienced in silos.

This North West London collaborative study day brings together maternity, mental health, acute care and primary care professionals to explore how we can better support women and birthing people with complex mental and medical needs across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

Topics will include; setting the context of perinatal mental health and concurrrent medical complexity in pregnancy; pharmacological management; postnatal contraception for people with mental health conditions; tokophobia; eating disorders;psychological impact of birth trauma and much more.

If you are working within maternity services, primary care, mental health and emergency departments, then this event is for you!
