The Regis School of Music is delighted to invite young musicians to take part in our Performers’ Platform Festival – a joyful celebration of music, creativity, and self-expression.
This unique, non-competitive festival encourages performers not only to share a musical performance, but also to explore the connection between music and visual art. Each participant is invited to create a piece of artwork inspired by their chosen piece, which will be projected during their performance, creating a truly immersive and personal experience.
Whether it’s a first performance or one of many, this event is designed to be supportive, encouraging, and inspiring.
🌟 What to expect
- A welcoming and inclusive performance environment
- Thoughtful, constructive feedback from our adjudicator, Sarah Freestone
- A commemorative certificate and medal for every performer
- The opportunity to perform alongside peers in carefully grouped classes based on age and ability
- A chance to bring music to life through artistic interpretation
🎼 Who can take part?
We welcome performers of all instruments and voice types, from complete beginners to advanced students, typically aged 5–18.
Participants will be grouped into classes to ensure a supportive and appropriate performance setting for all.
🎨 The creative element
Each performer is invited to submit a piece of artwork inspired by their performance piece. This could be:
A drawing or painting
A digital design
A mixed media piece
The artwork will be displayed during the performance, helping to tell the story of the music in a visual way.
