Experience an interactive exploration of beautiful healing rhythms, dances and songs from West Africa and beyond.
Join Lara Gonzalez, Artistic Director and founder of Marafanyi Drum, Dance & Song, as she guides audience members to explore traditional music, dance, language and indigenous instruments - joined by mentor/collaborator, Sanga -Of-The-Valley and special guests, student dancers from PCTI - a show not to me missed :)
This is Lara's second performance in Heidi Gallery. She is also a longtime teaching artist at Wae Center. Her holistic approach to music and dance is fun, encouraging and accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own shakers and light percussion instruments.
