A gathering for focused movement exploration, as well as end-of-year relaxation and connection for those sharing interest in the art and somatic practice of Contact Improvisation.
The event is centered on “Focus Jams”: semi-open/semi-structured jams starting with an openly interpreted, shared theme or question, with varying topics from classic, physics/body based contact improv. The event is intended for 40-50 dancers, with simultaneous activities in 2 studios. In the mix will also be contact technique classes, scores, discussions, and performance experiments.
Some of the schedule and facilitation will be set ahead of time and some of the schedule will be left open so we can follow curiosities and desires arising during the event. While there is some facilitation and optional classes in mornings, the focus of the event is on shared investigation and following personal curiosity and interests within the frame of classic contact improvisation.
Also, for body and soul: shared food, conviviality, accommodation and chill space in studio.
180 - 250€ sliding scale.
