The pelvic floor (PF) muscles are often a forgotten muscle group until aging and gravity take their toll which may lead to prolapse of the organs supported by the pelvic floor. A weakened PF can translate into bladder/bowel problems, as well as digestive and intimacy issues, negatively impacting quality of life. The good news is you can strengthen the PF and improve your symptoms or prevent future problems from evolving.Join us for a deep dive into Pelvic floor health and learn how to:
• Find a neutral pelvis and connect muscle lengthening and contraction to your breath
• Engage the PF muscles each time you exercise
• Use correct form and consistency to improve PF function
• Lengthen, relax, and strengthen the PF muscles
• Select exercises that improve core strength without placing undue pressure on the PF
Dress ready to work out on the floor - mats will be provided, or feel free to bring your own and a small towel to keep your neck comfortable when supine on the mat.
