Welcome to Pelvic Floor 101: Strength from the Ground Up! Join us for an informative and interactive event where you will learn all about the importance of your pelvic floor muscles. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced athlete, this event is perfect for anyone looking to Learn about Pelvic Floor, and how to incorporate simple tools and engage those muscles with functional activities and exercise.
In this one hour workshop our Pelvic Health PT will address the following:
- How well do you know your Pelvic Floor?
- Do you experience incontinence with laughing, jumping, sneezing or running?
- Do you have urinary urgency or frequency?
- Do you wake up at least three times at night to use the bathroom?
- Do you have pain around your pelvis?
- Do you have pain with intimacy?
- Do you have perineal pressure (or pain) at rest or when you run?
- Would you like to learn how to engage your Pelvic Floor correctly while you exercise?
In this one hour workshop we will discover what Pelvic Floor is and will focus on strengthening/relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles. The workshop will help you understand how crucial Pelvic floor muscles are for bladder abd bowel control to sexual function and core stability.
